February started off with reviving some old traditions like making St. Bridget’s Crosses. After that came the celebration of St. Valentine’s Day with lots of sweet treats made on the day, flower arranging including table pieces and clients making their own rose button holes corsages and Valentines Cards. The entire centre had a romantic themed red colour scheme, including staff!
We had several days with live music and thanks to all our wonderful volunteers who make each day so enjoyable for the clients at our DayCentre.
Our resident beautician gave a wonderful makeup demonstration and skin care advise for all of us ladies in attendance.
Mary Russell volunteered to make very tasty and attractive Valentine biscuits for our tea dance
Freda volunteered to demonstrate how to make a beautiful table arrangement and rose button holes for Valentines Day and arrange our flowers in our old Pram in the foyer
Sr. Susan volunteered to rekindle the art of making St. Bridget’s Crosses on February 1st
Mary Donnelly volunteered her skills at decorating our tables for each meal sitting
