EASTER CELEBRATIONS
Easter brought lots of celebrations to the Day Centre this month. Exquisite Easter bonnets were the order of the day with clients bringing in hats they had made at home while others worked on making hats as part of our activities. All bonnets were shown off during a fashion show each afternoon
MUSIC & SONG
We were very grateful to have members of our local Garda Siochana and Rebecca Griffin play some wonderful traditional music and sing songs this month. Brian Flynn on guitar and singing with Fina Wurm from Newmarket-on-Fergus also provided great entertainment
HEALTH PROMOTION
ST. CAIMIN’S & SHANNON COMPREHENSIVE TRANSITION YEAR PROJECTS
Both of these projects finished up this month and we would like to say a huge Thank You to the students, teachers, our clients and volunteers and May Moynihan for their participation. Both groups presented us with a comprehensive portfolio of their experiences and work done. Their last day was marked with a drumming collaboration between students and clients and also some beautiful seasonal flower arranging
ROAD SAFETY
Barry Keating from Road Safety in Clare County Council came and spoke to our groups around this issue and provided high visibility vests to everyone to promote their safety while out and about on our roads and walkways
EXERCISE
John Conroy from Clare Local Development Company joined us again this month for a fun filled morning of exercise and games. Each month we have a week devoted to these activities which is hugely popular. In addition to our indoor equipment we are also putting a programme together to optimise the use and enjoyment of our outdoor exercise equipment
CARRIGORAN SPRING FAIR
The Annual Family Day was held on Sunday April 13th and we would like to thank all who supported this event. Our volunteers and staff in the Day Centre gave generously of their time and talents on the day
