At Carrigoran House, we value the contribution of our many volunteers . If you are considering becoming a volunteer we would be delighted to meet and explain the role to you. 

Volunteer Role

• The purpose of Carrigoran House Volunteer Team,is to join with the Sisters and the regular staff to help improve the quality of life and care of our elderly residents by contributing to the physical and psycho-social environment of the nursing home. This can be done by enhancing the wellbeing of residents whether through assisting residents physically or through emotional and psychological supports. This can be achieved in a number of ways for example bringing residents who are wheelchair bound to Mass and or the many other activities that maybe taking place on a given day.
• A volunteer may assist in Art and Music Therapy sessions. Visiting with residents who do not have visitors. Taking a resident for a walk around the house or in the gardens. On many occasions we may take our residents off site for a trip in the Carrigoran Bus. In these instances we welcome support from the Volunteer Team.
• Engagement to compliment and enhance the delivery of excellent quality person centered care to our residents. To promote health and wellbeing for all residents.
